Mary Jayna Crawford, age 53, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011. She was born on May 15, 1957 at Concordia, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Virgie (Reid) Baldwin. She graduated from Clyde High School. Mary attended Friends University and Cloud County Community College, receiving an Associate's Degree. Mary was united in marriage to Ron Crawford on June 19, 1976, in Clyde, Kansas. This union was blessed with two children, Travis and Heather. She worked as a teacher's aide in Stafford, Kansas. In 1986 they moved from Stafford to Garnett. She worked at Kansas State Bank in Garnett for 12 years; was the manager at Garnett Inn; and was the Assistant Manager at Housing Authority. She currently worked as an Assistant Loan Officer at Citizens Bank Mary was a member of Holy Angels Church, where she was bookkeeper for a number of years; she was a member of the ACHS Booster Club for many years, where she made a positive impression on many children's lives. She was a Mary Kay consultant, loved to bake and loved to swim with her grandchildren. Mary enjoyed any sporting event that her children and grandchildren were involved in. Mary adored her grandbabies. She especially loved to take them on golf cart rides. Mary was a mom in every sense of the word. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Baldwin and her brother, Patrick Baldwin. Mary is survived by her husband, Ron Crawford, of the home; her son, Travis Crawford and wife Joanna of Wichita, Kansas; her daughter, Heather Coffman and husband Luke of Topeka, Kansas; four grandchildren, Ali Crawford, age 11, Jensen Crawford, age 5, Haylee Jayna Coffman, age 5, Blake Coffman, age 3; her mother, Virgie Baldwin of Garnett, Kansas; two brothers, Michael Baldwin and wife Sandra of Kingman, Kansas; John Baldwin of Scipio, Kansas; her sisters and brothers at heart, Johnny and Roxie Crawford; Frank and Barb Schwertfeger; Richard and Ellene Bodenhamer; nieces, nephews, and many friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Garnett, Kansas. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., with family present to greet friends until 7:00 p.m. at the church on Monday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church Building Fund.
