Mary Louise Feuerborn, age 70, of Altamont, died on Monday, July 6, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Center in Parsons. She was born on July 16, 1938, in Parsons, Kansas, the daughter of William Ernest and Lina Mae (Wiles) Adams. She grew up in Labette County and graduated from Labette County Community High School in 1955. On November 3, 1956 she married Marion Dale Conrad in Parsons. Later they were divorced. She married Leon H. Feuerborn on December 12, 1985 at Miami, Oklahoma. He survives of the home. Mary had lived in Labette County nearly all her life. In her early adult years she was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. Later she worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant, Parsons Precision Products and Power Flame. She had also worked as a realtor for the Abshier Agency. She was a member of the Mother of God Catholic Church in Oswego and was a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Parsons. She was a member of the Neosho Valley Good Sams Camping Club. She loved traveling in R.V.'s, boating on Grand Lake, playing cards and following her grandchildren's sports activities. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and two infant siblings. She is survived by her husband, Leon Feuerborn of the home; one son, Patrick Conrad and wife Misti of Corpus Christi, Texas; two daughters, Denise Swartz and husband David of Lawrence, Kansas; Joyce Pritchard and husband Duane of Edna, Kansas; step-son Dean Feuerborn of Leavenworth, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Amy Spooner of Gardner; Ryan Swartz of Lawrence; Rebecca Maxson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Michael Maxson of Olathe; Derek Pritchard of Baxter Springs; Ashley Pritchard of Edna; Alyssa Conrad of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Kyle Conrad of Corpus Christi, Texas; brothers and sisters, Joanne Keith of Texarkana, Texas; Ernestine Gutierrez of Springfield, Missouri; Bob Adams and wife Hazel of Apopka, Florida; Teresa Ward of Parsons; Susie Spriggs and husband Gary of Lawrence; Leonard (Butch) Adams and wife Judy of Lawrence; Gordon Adams and wife Kathy of Parsons; and Ronita Spriggs and husband Wes of Parsons; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons, Kansas. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2009, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Garnett, Kansas. Burial will follow at the Holy Angels Cemetery in Garnett. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2009, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, the Mother of God Catholic Church in Oswego, the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Garnett, or the V.F. W.
