Mary Virginia (Ginny) Reaves

Mary Virginia (Ginny) Reaves, age 100, of Humboldt, Kansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 26, 2023. Ginny was born March 24, 1923, in Florence, Kansas, to Otto A. Powers and Cora M. (Stroup) Powers.
Ginny graduated in 1941 from Iola High School. She and Donald E. Reaves were married October 4, 1941, in Yates Center, Kansas. Ginny was a homemaker.
Ginny enjoyed quilting, cooking, and sewing. She loved spending time with her family. Her church family, serving her Lord and Savior, and reading her Bible were very important to Ginny.
Ginny was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; daughter, Rosemary McKinnon; two brothers; and three sisters.
Ginny is survived by her son, Philip Reaves; four granddaughters; one grandson; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. Inurnment will be at a later date in Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens, Walla Walla, Washington.
Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church, Iola, Kansas, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
