Mary Sigg

Mary Barbara Sigg, 92, of Iola, Kansas, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at Windsor Place in Iola. Mary was born May 22, 1918, near Leoti, Kansas, the daughter of Aloysius and Barbara (Goetz) Kleymann. She attended school in Moran, Kansas and graduated from the College of Paola in 1938. Mary taught school in Scipio until her marriage to H.E. (Gene) Sigg on June 4, 1940. He preceded her in death on September 17, 2006. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and enjoyed playing cards and reading. SURVIVORS: 6 Children: Carl Sigg of Mountain View, CA, Carol Murphy of Grand Prairie, TX, Raymond Sigg of Martinez, GA, Mike Sigg of San Antonio, TX, Richard Sigg of Carlyle, KS, and Cathy Kendziorski of Midland, MI 14 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren VISITATION: 3:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, Kansas ROSARY & MASS: The parish rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola, followed by the mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Robert B. Wachter will be celebrant.
