Mary Lynne Grennan Tyler "Lynnie" passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Lynnie was born on February 24, 1933 in Ottawa, Kansas to Agnes and Lawrence Grennan. She grew up in Garnett, Kansas and graduated valedictorian from Garnett High School in 1951. She was awarded a scholarship and attended St. Mary's University of Leavenworth, Kansas until she married John Thomas "Tommy" Tyler , her high school sweetheart, on July 11, 1953. They were married for 33 years. They had five children; John (Tim) of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; Anna of St. Michael, Minnesota; Rob of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Chris of Mary Ester, Florida; Jeanne Marie of Englewood, Colorado. Throughout her life, Lynnie lived over-seas on numerous occasions, with her favorite place being Heidelberg, Germany. She worked for Control Data Corporation for 20 years. After raising her five children, Lynnie earned her Bachelor's Degree from the St. Catherine University and her Master's Degree from University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Lynnie was a devoted member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church for 24 years. She was a member of The Celebration Singers Choir and volunteered on countless occasions. She was beloved by many. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister; and is survived by her sons John "Tim" Tyler; Robert Stephen Tyler, Christopher Lynn Tyler and daughters Anna Carroll Tyler and Jeanne Marie Tyler; her beloved grandchildren Michael Lee Fredrickson, Leanne Marie Griswold, Jacob Adams Tyler, Pierce Steven Tyler, Austin Robert Tyler, Nicholas Tyler Wolpers, Brenna Marie Kruczek; and great grandchildren Ella Belle Fredrickson, Adam Michael Fredrickson, Owen Tyler Griswold and Gabrielle Marie Griswold. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Garnett, Kansas.
