Max D. Borror, age 67, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at his home. Max was born on December 12, 1943 in Anderson County, Kansas, the son of Franklin Denton and Leora Belle (Lilly) Borror. He attended Lawrence High School. Max was in the U.S. Navy. He was united in marriage to Roberta Ann Gleason on June 14, 1996 in Miami, Oklahoma. Max loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the NRA. He loved to spend his time at his favorite coffee shops, Mr. D's and Denise's Country Caf. He also took pride in taking care of his neighbors. Max enjoyed spending time with his step daughter and husband, vacationing in Arkansas. As a younger man, he enjoyed dancing. Max was preceded in death by his mother, Leora Borror and his wife Roberta Borror. He is survived by his son, Max D. Rockers and wife Canddi of Joplin, Missouri; two stepdaughters, Catherine Bennett and husband Bruce of Paris, Arkansas; Janet LeAnn Bynam and husband Jim of Waldron, Arkansas; two stepsons Michael Dean Davidson and wife Jean of Clarksville, Arkansas; Robert Sigars of Joplin, Missouri; his father, Franklin D. Borror of Lawrence, Kansas; one brother, Franklin L. Borror and wife Roberta of Garnett, Kansas; three sisters, Marcia Criqui of Garnett, Kansas; Judy Shepherd and husband Elmo of Lawrence, Kansas; Connie Turner and husband Clayton of Lawrence, Kansas; six grandchildren, Alex Rockers, Shawn Rockers, Tabitha Rockers, Alicia Breedlove, Vanessa Schmidt, James Edward Carter Jr.; two great grandchildren, Caleb Rockers and James Christopher Carter; and many stepchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett. Inurnment will follow at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Max Borror Memorial Fund and left in care of the funeral home.
