Max W. Parks

Max W. Parks, age 63 of El Dorado, Kansas passed away May 24, 2013 at the Susan B. Allen Hospital, El Dorado, Kansas. Max was born March 1, 1950 at Garnett, Kansas the son of Ross Eldon and Pansy (Ellis) Parks. He suffered from a high fever as an infant that left him mentally incapacitated. He lived in the state hospital at Winfield, Kansas from 1966 until 1994 when he moved to a group home in El Dorado, Kansas where he lived until his death. Max is survived by his brother, Clyde Parks and wife, Janice of Welda, Kansas and his sister, Shirley Benjamin of Garnett, Kansas, and nieces and nephews, Richard and Jody Parks of Welda, Kimberly and Marcus Moreland of Louisburg, Kansas, Rusty and Carey Parks of Overland Park, Kansas, Ruth and Wade McDonald of Garnett and Todd Benjamin of Garnett, Kansas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Welda Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Welda United Methodist Church.
