Melody Ann Holloway, age 63, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020, at her home.

Melody was born to Ray Holloway and Willena (Simpson) Holloway in Colony, Kansas. She was born on November 19, 1956. She attended school in Colony.

Melody enjoyed spending her time planting flowers and landscaping around the house. She was also great at embroidering. She spent her time embroidering tea towels that she would later gift to family and friends. Her idea of relaxation was to sit and watch the squirrels and birds at their feeders just outside of their home. Some of her best companions were her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jason Beggs; and sister, Connie Freshour.

Melody is survived by life long companion, Gary Lang of Iola, Kansas; Willena Tressler and husband, Grayden of Yates Center, Kansas, Nonie Masters of Burlingame, Kansas; brother-in-law Ralph Freshour of LeRoy, Kansas; and numerous other family members and friends.


A funeral service for Melody will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service. Family will greet friends from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to A.C.A.R.F of LaHarpe, Kansas and may be left with the funeral home.
