Michael J. Dickerson, age 43, passed away at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri, on April 14, 2023, with family at his side.
Michael was born to John Lowell and Mary Jo (Kincheloe) Dickerson on December 17, 1979, at Allen County Hospital in Iola, Kansas.
Michael was a people person and loved to make people laugh. His sons were his entire world. They were his reason for living. Taking them to their sporting events, on vacations and anything that involved his boys made him happy. Michael was a hard worker and spent over 20 years working at Russell Stover Candies. Michael enjoyed working on cars, collecting coins going four-wheeling with his family and just being outdoors. One unforgettable memory from his family was when they were going to smoke a brisket, Michael decided to create a smoker out of a filing cabinet, and it turned out amazing.
Michael is preceded in death by paternal grandparents John and Arwana Dickerson; maternal grandparents H.L. and Mary D. Kincheloe and several aunts and uncles.
Michael is survived by his sons Xavier, Zander, and Wyatt Dickerson and Bradyn Jones; his parents; siblings Mandy Dickerson of Iola, Kansas, Joel Dickerson of Humboldt, Kansas, and Mackenzie (Justin) Wall of Fredonia, Kansas; nephews Porter and Crewe Wall; and numerous other family members.
A Memorial Service will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
