Michael Dillow

Michael Lance Dillow, 33, of Iola, Kansas, died Saturday, July 7, 2012. Michael was born May 29, 1979, in Joliet, Illinois, the son of Howard A. and Cheryl L. (Johnson) Dillow. The family moved to Iola in 1985 from Joliet. Michael graduated from Iola High School in 1997 and attended Allen County Community College. Michael worked for eight years as a sargeant with the Kansas State Correctional Facility in El Dorado and two years as a specialized para for ANW Coop at Humboldt. He enjoyed working with children and spending time with his family. SURVIVORS: His Parents: Howard A. Dillow and Cheryl L. Dillow of Iola, Kansas 2 Brothers: Stephen Dillow of Iola, KS and Brian Dillow & wife, Lacy of Humboldt, KS His Grandmother: Velma Morgan of Iola, KS Nieces & Nephews: Megan Dillow, Gavin Dillow, Logan, Gracie & Morgan Dillow 1 Great Niece: Tinley Howze Uncle: Chris Johnson of Cameron, MO Aunt: Cathy Steuckemann & husband, Dan of Bonner Springs, KS Cousins He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Perry and Mildred Dillow and Bill Morgan. Michael will lie in state from 8:00a.m. until 8:00p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel for friends to pay their respects. A private family service will be held to celebrate Michael's life. Memorials are suggested to either the Humboldt or Yates Center Recreation Departments. Memorials gifts may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
