Michael Terry Ginn

Michael Terry Ginn, age 60, of Moran, Kansas, passed away on July 30, 2009 at the Allen County Hospital, Iola, Kansas. He was born on February 11, 1949 at Lynwood, California, the son of William Thomas Ginn and Ruth Madeline O'Rielly. He graduated from Downey High School, Downey, California. He married Chryll Gillham on November 4, 1989 in Nevada. Mike retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years service, he was a MSGT. He moved to Moran in September 1995 working at the Allen County Road and Bridge Department, and was currently working at Whitaker Construction. Mike was a member of the Moran Ruritan, Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Shriners, Scottish Rite, American Legion Post #385, American Legion Riders Post #385, Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA). He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Ginn; and his father-in-law, Ben Gillham. Mike is survived by his wife Chryll Ginn of the home; his sister, Patricia Ginn of San Antonio, Texas; ex-wife, Eileen Ginn; son, Matthew Ginn; daughter, Amanda Ginn all of Lancaster, California; mother-in-law, (Mom) Veda Gillham of Moran; two sister-in-laws, Gloria Gill and husband Ron of Moran; Joyce Andersen and husband Chris of Lancaster, California; step-son, Donald Bartsma of Cameron, Missouri; one niece and two nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the Moran Christian Church; with burial to follow at the Fairview Cemetery, Mildred. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Children Hospital and may be left in care of the funeral home.
