Michael Laver

Michael L. "Mikey" Laver, 38, of Iola, Kansas, died Thursday, September 24, 2009, at his home. He was born March 27, 1971, at Iola, Kansas, the son of Everett L. and Barbara I. (Jackman) Laver. He grew up in Iola where he has a close group of friends. He enjoyed country cruising, fishing and writing poetry. SURVIVORS: His Mother: Barbara Stotler of Iola, Kansas 1 Sister: Mistie Hodges & husband, Shaun of Virginia Beach, Virginia 1 Nephew: Logan Henderson Grandparents: Herman Jackman of Moran, Kansas, and Maxine Laver Martin of Moran, Kansas A host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Laver, and grandparents, Florence Jackman and Loren Martin. IN-STATE: He will lie in state at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola all day Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, for friends and family to pay their respects. Cremation will follow.
