Michael Ray "Mike" Karr

Michael Ray Karr, 37, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016. Mike was born December 1, 1978, in Iola, the son of Harold Ray and Marsha Sue (Chapman) Karr. He grew up in LaHarpe attending LaHarpe Elementary and graduated from Iola High School in 1998. Mike made his home in Iola and was a pulling unit operator in the oil fields. He was a member of the Iola Elks. In February 2001, Michael married Amy Hager. They had four sons and later divorced. Survivors include his companion, Missy Channel; 5 sons, Matthew, Joseph, Noah, Eli and Kasen Karr; his parents, Harold and Marsha Karr of LaHarpe, KS; 1 sister, Nicky Perez of LaHarpe; 2 nieces, Alexis and Alaina Smith; his grandmother, Norma Black & her husband, Ernie of Iola and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ray and Betty Karr and Leslie James Chapman. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 19, 2016, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Chapel in Iola. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2016, at the funeral home with burial to follow in the LaHarpe Cemetery.
