Mildred May Adams, age 77, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Residential Living Center, Garnett. She was born April 11, 1940 at Welda, Kansas, the daughter of Homer and Helen (Fagg) Adams. She graduated from Welda High School with the Class of 1958. Mildred married Larry Reyes Jr., this union was blessed with three daughters, Angeli, Ramona, and Nina. They later divorced. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2015. Larry was a stepfather to Nathan and Rosa. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her great granddaughter, Whitney Lee Wight shared the same birthday. Mildred was a kind and loving person. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, walking, and red birds. Mildred was a Seventh Day Adventist. Mildred was preceded in death by her Homer and Helen Adams; four brothers, Wayne, Darrell, Walter and Delbert Adams; and one sister, Elaine Mitchell. She is survived by four daughters, Rosa Shaughnessy and husband Robert of Iola, Kansas; Angeli Henkle and husband Rick of Garnett, Kansas; Ramona Medina and husband Lino of Philomath, Oregon; Rosalind Nina Reyes and husband Curtis Jones of Fort Myers, Florida; one son, Nathan Adams and wife Teresa of Garnett, Kansas; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one sister, Charlotte Adams of Independence, Kansas; and two brothers, Ralph Adams of Welda, Kansas; Homer Adams and wife Shirley of Colony, Kansas. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m,, on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett, with burial to follow in Glenloch Cemetery, Glenloch, Kansas.
