Mildred Ansell

Mildred C. "Midge" Ansell, 82, of Iola, Kansas, died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at her home. Midge was born November 5, 1929, at Medoc, Missouri, the daughter of Hosea and Jessie (Berry) Seeber. She lived in Missouri until moving to Iola in 1946. On March 26, 1946, Midge married Earl Croley and they made their home in Iola. She worked as a cashier for over 20 years. Mr. Croley died July 7, 1968. Midge and Victor L. Stout were married on June 1, 1970. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1985. On October 3, 1988, Midge married Earl Ansell and he died October 20, 2002. She was a member of the Carlyle Presbyterian Church. SURVIVORS: One Son: Earl Croley, Jr. of Iola, KS Son-In-Law: Eugene Stroud of Kansas City, KS 5 Step-Daughters: Mary Sigler, Sharon Keith, Vicky Fowler, Janie Henderson and Donna Spillman 2 Sisters: Mae Aydelotte of Iola, KS and Ada Maness of Leon, KS Numerous Grandchildren She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Betty Lou Croley and Carolyn Sue "Susie" Stroud, daughter-in-law Cinda Sue Croley, step-son John Payne, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, where the family will receive friends prior to the service.
