Mildred Hyde, age 85, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019, at Residential Living Center, Garnett.
She was born January 3, 1934, in McKinney, Texas, the youngest of eleven children, born to Andrew Carl and Emma Elizabeth (Wardlow) Pair. Mildred married Kenneth Hyde September 1, 1954 in Denton, Texas.
Mildred loved to attend church, praise God and sing hymns. She enjoyed playing 42 dominos, watching Christmas movies and crime shows.
Her greatest passion were her grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth Hyde on February 21, 2011; one daughter, Wanda Rippy; two granddaughters, Cassandra Weibley and Sara Rippy; two infant grandsons; five sisters, Leona Strickland, Johnny Copeland, Clarie Pair, Juanita Carroll, and Mary Sprayberry; five brothers, Marvin Pair, Alvin Pair, Calvin Pair, AC Pair, and Toby Pair.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Weibley and husband V.T. of Centralia, Illinois; Joan Rippy and husband Grover of Garnett, Kansas; Jane Dittman of Edwardsburg, Michigan; Vicky Hyde of Garnett, Kansas; 15 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett, burial to follow in the Garnett Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m.
