Myron G. Rush

Myron Gene Rush, age 91, of Iola, Kansas, passed away July 19.2023, at Medicalodges of Iola, Iola, Kansas. Myron was born July 20, 1931, in rural Erie, Kansas, to Guy O. Rush and Nina G. (Heaton) Rush.

Myron graduated in 1949 from Chanute High School, Chanute, Kansas. He was a meat cutter for 48 years, retiring in 1996.

Myron and Betty Young were married January 6, 1950, in Iola, Kansas.

Myron liked woodworking, boating and waterskiing, fishing, and hunting. He and Betty enjoyed traveling in their RV to Texas and Arizona. Myron was a member of the First Christian Church of Iola.

Myron was preceded in death by his parents; sons, David Rush, Rick Rush; sisters, Lois (Johnson) Anderson; Neva Blair; brother, Clyde Rush; grandson, Kevin Rush, and son-in-law, Gary Leonard.

Myron is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home; daughter, Brenda Leonard, Iola, Kansas; son, Phil (Janine) Rush, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Michelle Rush, Barbara Rush; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church, Iola, Kansas, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
