Nancy E. Malone, age 58, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at KC Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on July 21, 1953, at Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Ernest and Hazel (Beck) Schade. Nancy grew up in Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. Following school she lived in Edwardsville, until moving to Spring Hill where she worked in her father's flower shop. Nancy always worked at jobs that accommodated her love of the outdoors and animals. She trained horses at her farm in Paola, and later raised produce on her farm to sell at area farmer's markets. In 2008 Nancy moved to Osawatomie and continued working her produce business, Nanco Gardens. Nancy married Gordon Malone on December 31, 1974. This union was blessed with one daughter, Jennifer. After 21 years they divorced. She is preceded in death by her father, Ernest on April 17, 2006; her mother, Hazel on March 2, 2008; brothers, Steven, Timothy, and George Schade. She is survived by her daughter, Jenny Hughes and husband, Curtis of Garnett; two granddaughters, Brooklynn and Lyndsay Hughes; three sisters, Susan Brewer and husband Dan of Adrian, Missouri, Barbara Coddington and husband Jim of Parker, Kansas, and Patricia Gibbs and husband Dennis of Paola, Kansas; one brother Jason Schade and wife Stephanie of Parker, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2012, at the Antioch Cemetery, Spring Hill, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Miami County Cancer Society and left in care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 219 S. Oak St., Garnett, Kansas 66032.
