Nina Ewing

Nina D. Ewing, 77, of Iola, Kansas, died Friday, January 22, 2010, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola. Nina was born September 4, 1932, at Jewell County, Kansas, the daughter of Albert M. and Ida M. (Schoen) Cameron. At the age of four, she moved to Iola with her parents. In 1950, Nina married Orville Zornes and they were later divorced. She married Leonard Bonczkowski in 1958 and they later divorced. In 1969, Nina married Leonard Ewing and they made their home in Iola. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1999. Nina worked with Commissioner Bob Huskey and drove the senior citizen bus for Allen County for 14 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Iola. Nina enjoyed her pets, music, reading and spending time with her family. SURVIVORS: Daughters: MeLinda Tindel & husband, Kelley of Iola, Kansas, JoAnn Ludlum, Tina Luma and Chastity Suchy 5 Step-Children: Floyd Ewing & wife, Margie of Stella, MO, Jess Ewing & wife, Beverly of Iola, Eddie Ewing & wife, Evelyn and Eula May Spurgeon & husband, Bill all of Chanute, KS, and Myra Lou Grizzle & husband, Darrell of Wellington, KS 36 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m., Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at Grace Lutheran Church in Iola. The Rev. Bruce Kristalyn will officiate. BURIAL: Highland Cemetery, Iola, KS MEMORIAL: Nina D.
