Noah Herschberger, 81, of rural Iola, Kansas, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola. Noah was born November 9, 1928, at Kokomo, Indiana, the youngest of 8 children born to Albert and Mary (Mast) Herschberger. He grew up in Kokomo and served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. On February 26, 1953, Noah married Alma Yoder at Garnett, Kansas. They made their home on a farm between Garnett and Westphalia. In 1982, they moved to a home north of Iola. He worked for the Iola Grain Elevator for 12 years and for J & J Contractors until he had to retire. Noah was a member of the Carlyle Presbyterian Church and the Iola Lion's Club. SURVIVORS: His wife of 57 years: Alma Herschberger of the home 1 Son: Glen Ray Herschberger of LaHarpe, KS 1 Daughter: Ellen Mast & husband, Norman of Ottawa, KS 2 Grandchildren: Conrad Mast & wife, Cindy of Lawrence, KS and Lieschen Mast of Lawrence, KS 3 Great Grandchildren: Elia, Noah and Adelynn 1 Sister: Susanna Miller of Grove City, Minnesota He was preceded in death by 6 siblings.
