Nora Manners, age 77, of Wichita, Kansas, formerly of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover, Kansas. She was born on April 19, 1931 in Little Rock Arkansas, the daughter of Robert Robbins and Genevieve Robbins. She grew up in Arkansas and Oklahoma and graduated from Marquette High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, earning her Bachelors degree at Marimont College in Salina. Nora was always involved with her children's activities like sports and Boy Scouts. She married William Alfred Manners in 1960. They truly had a wonderful marriage. Bills job with General Electric moved the family numerous times throughout the U.S. and Europe. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Genevieve Robbins; her husband, Bill Manners on October 7, 2003 and her daughter, Phyllis. Nora is survived by two sons, David Manners of Delaware; and Scott Manners of Wichita, Kansas; two grandchildren, Ben Manners and Josh Manners. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Garnett Cemetery.
