Opal Margaret Tidd

Opal Margaret Chriestenson Tidd, age 88, passed away at home on April 17,2023, with family by her side.
Opal was born to Victor and Alice Beckman Chriestenson on September 9, 1934 in Neosho Falls, Kansas.
Opal married Richard Tidd on June 12, 1951. This union was blessed with four children. They were married for 72 years until his passing.
Opal was very full of life, keeping busy with many different hobbies she enjoyed. Family was her passion, providing for them in any way she could, cooking and caring for them, was her greatest love. She loved gardening, sewing, fishing, baking and raising animals on the farm. Everything she did was for her family, from sun up to sun down.
Ever since she was a little girl she couldn't wait to meet the Lord. When she was planting flowers she would always say that it made her feel closer to the Lord. In her last days she was certain where she would be going, and couldn't wait to join her love, those gone before her, and meet her heavenly father.
Opal is preceded in death by the love of her life; parents; siblings Leslie, Vern, Clarence, Pearl, Ruby, Charlie, Elmer, Albert, Victor; daughters Betty and Mary and great- grandson Bryson.
Opal is survived by her sons Gary and Richard; siblings, Mary, Alice, Floyd, Bill; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way.
Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday April 20, 2023 at Feuerborn Funeral Service Chapel, 1883 US HWY 54, Iola, Kansas 66749. Funeral Services will be at 9:30 A.M. on Friday April 21, 2023, at Feuerborn Funeral Service Chapel, burial will follow at Neosho Falls Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to Children's Miracle Network and can be left in care of Feuerborn Funeral Service, 1883 US HWY 54, Iola, Kansas 66749.
