Pat Marvin

Mary Patricia "Pat" Marvin, 76, of Iola, Kansas, died Friday, February 13, 2015, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute. Pat was born December 30, 1938, in Watford Herts, England, the daughter of John and Margaret Hyland. She grew up in England and met Edward Marvin while he was in the service. Following his honorable discharge from the service, he returned to Iola. She came later and the two were married on June 23, 1957. They made their home in Nevada, MO for the first year of their marriage before returning to Iola. She was a daycare provider for 50 years. Pat was a member of the First Baptist Church in Iola. SURVIVORS: Her husband of 57 years: Edward Marvin of the home 2 Daughters: Debra Hegwald & husband, Gary of Humboldt, and Lisa Facundo & husband, Manuel of Iola 4 Siblings: Tony Hyland, Claire Sullivan, Patrick Hyland and Margaret Hyland all of England 4 Grandchildren: Kaylee Hart & husband, David of Humboldt, Trey Kress & wife, Patience of Iola, Devan Zelaya of Lawrence and Ridge Zelaya of Pittsburg 4 Great Grandchildren: Kady, Kinley, Tayven & Dristan She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Terry Hyland.
