Patrick Charles Murphy, age 65, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away April 7, 2023, at Moran Manor, Moran, Kansas. Pat was born October 28, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Charles W. (Pat) Murphy and Loyce L. (Thompson) Murphy.
Pat graduated in 1975 from Turner High School, Kansas City, Kansas. Pat worked as a truck driver, a job he dearly loved.
Pat and Billie Bond were married on May 20, 1994, in Kansas City, Kansas. They later divorced, but remained very close friends.
Pat enjoyed auto racing and fishing. He was often at the race track turning wrenches and keeping the cars operational. He liked a quiet day at the lake, outdooring cooking, and playing fetch with his loyal companion, Buster, the four-legged buddy.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents.
Pat is survived by his daughter, Kayla Padelli and her husband, Justin, Edwardsville, Kansas; brother, Bryan Murphy and his family, Iola, Kansas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Cremation will take place and a private family celebration of life will be held later in the Kansas City area.
Memorials are suggested to Lakeside Speedway, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
