Patsy Ruth Sigg McGowan, 78, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013, at Iola Nursing Center. Patsy was born September 11, 1934, in Iola, Kansas, the daughter of James Frederick and Bertha Madlyn (Dunton) Weeks. She graduated from Iola High School. On May 30, 1955, Patsy married Don Sigg and they made their home in Iola. They later divorced. In 1992 she married James McGowan and he preceded her in death in 2010. SURVIVORS: 4 Children: Janice Carroll & husband, Mark of Pratt, KS, Donnie Sigg of Kansas City, KS, Dennis Sigg of Eunice, NM and Scottie Sigg of Salina, KS 1 Brother: James Weeks of Humboldt, KS 3 Sisters: Peggy Carnahan of Gas, KS, Laura Turner of Chanute, KS, and Jean Byrum of Sheldon, MO 3 Grandchildren: Daniel Potter, Kristi Holland and Freddy Sigg 2 Great Grandchildren: Wyatt & Khloe Holland She was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Simmons ROSARY: 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola.
