Patty Miller

Patricia Lee Miller, age 59, of Garnett, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011. Patty was born January 27, 1952 at Garnett, the daughter of Robert and Wanda (Rockers) Powls. She grew up in Garnett attending school there until graduating from Garnett High School in 1970. On August 28, 1971 Patty married Daniel Miller at Garnett. This union was blessed with two children. Patty worked several years as clerk at Neal's Pharmacy before going to work as a teller and bookkeeper at Garnett State Savings Bank and later at Patriot's Bank. Patty was a member of the Holy Angels Church, Garnett. She was an avid reader who loved her flower garden, but her greatest joy was her grandchildren. Patty is survived by her husband, Danny, of the home; her son, Brian Miller and wife, Natalie and her daughter, Lisa Foltz and husband, Justin; five grandchildren, Riley, Tyler and Rayah Foltz, and Aidan and Sofi Miller all of Eudora, Kansas; her parents, Robert and Wanda Powls of Garnett; three brothers, Mike Powls and wife Colleen of Olathe, Kansas, David Powls and wife, Connie of Holton, Kansas, and Dennis Powls of Austin, Texas as well as a host of friends.
