Paul Edwin Glenn

Paul Edwin Glenn, 79, of Kansas City, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Life Care Nursing Home in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on October 30, 1934, in the Glenn home in Hiawatha, Kansas, to Orville and Hazel Glenn. Paul attended the Olathe School for the Deaf from ages 8 to 16. In 1954, the Glenn family moved to Ottawa where his Dad was Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds at Ottawa University and Paul worked for his Dad. In 1957, Paul met and married Ilene Erhart. In 1972, Paul attended the Blind School in Topeka as he was losing his sight. They moved to Kansas City, Kansas, where he worked for 34 years for Fairfax Industry for the Blind and retired at age 65. Paul was a member of the Willard Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Ilene of 57 years, of the home; a brother, Allen and his wife, Sandra of Seattle, Washington; a sister, Dolores Althouse and her husband, Frank of Sabetha, Kansas; a sister-in-law, Mavis Glenn, and several nieces and nephews. We will miss Paul dearly. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett, burial following in the Garnett Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
