Paul Haen

Paul J. Haen, 66, of Iola, Kansas, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Paul was born October 27, 1947, in Iola, Kansas, the son of Ralph and Rose Mary (Heiman) Haen. He grew up in Piqua and joined the U.S. Navy serving in Vietnam. Paul retired from the military in 1984 with twenty years of service and returned to Iola. For the past several years he has worked with Don Hammer on the farm. On June 24, 1972, Paul married Rita M. Cammarano. His was a member of the Non Commissioned Officer Association. SURVIVORS: His Wife: Rita 2 Sons: Dominick J. Haen of Jacksonville, FL and Paul J. Haen, Jr. & wife, Janette of Blue Mound, KS 2 Daughters: Kathleen McCowin & husband, Calvin of Lancaster, TX and Elizabeth Hopkins & husband, Jeremy of Iola, KS 3 Brothers: Richard Haen & wife, Ruth of St. Louis, MO, Stephen Haen & wife, Patty and David Haen & wife, Patsy all of Iola 1 Sister: Ruth Menzer of Pratt, KS 14 Grandchildren & 4 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Haen and a sister, Dorothy Delaplain. VISITATION: 4:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Cremation will follow the visitation.
