Julia Pauline Bruch, age 98, of Paola, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at the North Point Nursing Home in Paola, Kansas. Pauline was born on April 13, 1913, in Diamond, Missouri, the only child of Charles Ezra and Clara Lee (Love) Schults. She lived with her family moving around southern Missouri until her marriage. She worked at Big Smith clothing factory making uniforms for the soldiers during the war. She met Elder M. Bruch in Springfield, Missouri during his training in WWII. They married on November 4, 1945 in Carthage, Missouri. This union was blessed with one son, Mike Bruch. They moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma in 1968 making this their home until September 2004 to be with their family because of health reasons. Pauline was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Paola, Kansas, and Broadway Baptist Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as crocheting, sewing, and embroidery. She loved to swim at the Y.M.C.A. in Sand Springs and made many friends. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Clara Schults; her husband, Elder M. Bruch on May 2, 2008. She is survived by her son, Mike Bruch and wife Geneva of Osawatomie, Kansas; Eli Bruch of Osawatomie, Kansas and Sam Bruch of Pittsburg, Kansas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2011 in the Diamond Cemetery, Diamond, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
