Pauline E. "Polly" Dunlap, 92, of Lansing, Kansas, formerly of rural Iola, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Lansing, Kansas. Pauline was born January 9, 1919, on a farm near Colony, Kansas, the daughter of John A. and Lucetta (Lankard) Hoffmeier. She graduated from Colony High School. On September 8, 1940, Pauline married Harry C. Dunlap and they made their home in Wichita before moving to a farm near Carlyle in 1944. Pauline was a homemaker and helped with the farm. Harry preceded her in death on May 6, 1989. She moved to Lansing to be near her daughter about 6 years ago. Pauline was a member of the Carlyle Presbyterian Church, Sew and Sew Club, and the Carlyle Country Club. She enjoyed raising flowers and working word puzzles. SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Mary Fry & husband, Wade of Lansing, KS 5 Grandchildren: Doug Fry & wife, Annette of Jacksonville, FL, Jeff Fry & wife, Cyndi of Lansing, KS, Steve Fry & wife, Michelle of Pleasant Hill, MO, Lisa Inge of Portales, NM and Chris Molyneaux of Tucumcari, NM A number of great grandchildren 1 Sister-in-law: Ruth Hoffmeier of Welda, KS She was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Mabel Irene Molyneaux and by 8 siblings. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Chaplain Lloyd W. Houk will officiate. BURIAL: Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas MEMORIAL: Carlyle Presbyterian Church Memorial gifts may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
