Pauline G. Moyer, age 92, of Welda, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the Anderson County Hospital, Garnett. She had been staying at Golden Heights since May 4th due to declining health. She was born December 4, 1922, in Garnett, Kansas, the daughter of John W. and Rose (Dart) Burns. Pauline graduated from Garnett High School, working at Seymour Poultry House in Garnett for many years. Pauline married Conrad E. Moyer on July 18, 1944 in Garnett, Kansas. This union was blessed with six children. They made their home in Anderson County, purchasing their home in 1965 near Welda. After the death of their son in 1991, they raised their two granddaughters. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and Tri-Chem Painting, making baby quilts for her family. Pauline also enjoyed gardening and canning. She enjoyed family gatherings and visiting with everyone. Pauline looked forward to the annual Fourth of July celebration. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose Burns; husband, Conrad E. Moyer; three sons, Joseph L. Moyer (infant); Norman R. Moyer; Tony L. Moyer; daughter-in-law, Kay Moyer; infant great granddaughter, Brook A. Moyer and infant great grandson, Junior Hooper; one brother, Richard Burns; two sisters, Kathryn Moyer and Beverly Holmes. Pauline is survived by her children, Bob Moyer of Garnett, Kansas; Roberta Bartholomew and husband George of Cleveland, Tennessee; and Martha Moyer of Welda; grandchildren, Robert Moyer and wife Ricci of Lawrence, Kansas; John Moyer and wife Ann of Long Island, New York; Cheryl Moyer of Iola, Kansas; Rachael Hooper and husband Jamie of Cleveland, Tennessee; Tabitha Wright and husband Eddie of Cleveland, Tennessee; Michelle Moyer of Welda, Kansas; Tammy Bell and fiancé Travis Harwood of Garnett, Kansas; Great grandchildren, Shelby Prater; Hannah Bell; Alexis, Skylar, and Nate Hooper; Holly and Autumn Wright; John, Savannah, and Kyle Moyer; Gracynn and Matthew Scott; Carl Moyer; Jenna Hardgrave; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at the First Christian Church, Garnett, with burial to follow in the Garnett Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the church on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Pauline Moyer Memorial Fund.
