Peggy Joyce Carnahan, age 90, passed away on January 1, 2024 at her home in Gas, Kansas.
Peggy was born on August 4, 1933, in Allen County, Kansas, to Fred Weeks and Bertha (Dunton) Weeks. She attended school in Iola, Kansas, where she graduated high school with the class of 1952.
Peggy worked an assortment of different jobs, her primary duty being a homemaker. She was married and had three children, Brian, Holly, and April. That marriage later ended in divorce. In 1975, at her job at Quality Packaging, Peggy met the love of her life, Charles "Randy" Carnahan. They were later married in 1977 on Friday the 13th, otherwise known as May 13, 1977.
Peggy enjoyed babysitting the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all 26 of them. She loved the Twilight movies and watching wrestling of all kinds. Her fried chicken was delicious, and will be greatly missed. Peggy had a wide variety of pets throughout her life, and was especially fond of her sweet dog, Abby.
Peggy is preceded in death by both her parents; four of her siblings; son, Brian; and grandson, Braydon.
Peggy is survived by her husband; sister, Jean Weeks Byram; two daughters, Holly and April; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service at 1883 US Highway 54 in Iola, Kansas. Condolences to the family may be left at
