Phyllis LeVier (Jack) Warren, age 96, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Greystone Residential Care, in Iola, Kansas.
Phyllis was born March 4, 1924 to Frank R. and Helen G. (LeVier) Jack in Garnett, Kansas.
She attended Garnett Elementary School and graduated from Garnett High School in 1942. Phyllis furthered her education at Baker University earning her Master's Degree in bacteriology, and later completed her teaching certificate at the University of Kansas.
She married Thomas A. Warren on November 5, 1945. Together, they were blessed with 2 sons, Stephen Jack Warren and Donald Orland Warren. They later divorced.
For many years Phyllis taught students proper grammar at Lincoln Elementary School in Iola, Kansas.
Phyllis enjoyed the fine arts and enthusiastically supported the Bowlus Fine Arts Center, as her neighbor. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Sorosis Club, and Eastern Star. She was a lifelong member the Methodist Church.
Phyllis enjoyed her Mary Kay business and adventures she shared with her longtime friend and associate, Jacquelyn Smith. She also enjoyed traveling and collecting antiques. Phyllis thrived as her family grew through the years, especially during the holidays. She truly favored the holiday gatherings and all the festivities.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Frank Warren Jack.
Phyllis is survived by her sons, Stephen (Denise) of Wright, Kansas and Don (Kris) of LeGrande, Oregon; six grandchildren: Jack (Lynn) Warren of Andover, Kansas, Rick (Ridley) Warren of Atlanta, Georgia, Scott (Shelby) Warren of Wamego, Kansas, Trisha Jantz (Allan Capper) of Canyon City, Colorado, Tara Warren of Vancouver, Washington, and Matthew Warren of Portland, Oregon. Fifteen great-grandchildren, Stephen, Hailey, Hannah, Barton, Wrenn, Reece, Gabe, Grant, Tate, Adam, Heather, Luke, Gabe, Tyson and Ekho.
Family will greet friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday. November 16, 2020 in The Chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Iola, Kansas.
A graveside service to honor the life of Phyllis will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the Garnett Cemetery in Garnett, Kansas.
