Ragenia M. Garber, age 61, of Iola, Kansas passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at her home in Iola. Ragenia was the oldest of six children born to Clarence Junior Garber and Irma (Wagner) Garber. She was born on October 29, 1956 at Lawrence, Kansas. She grew up at Welda and attended school there. Ragenia worked as a cook at the Rocky Roost in Welda. She went on to earn her CNA accreditation and worked at several area nursing homes, including, Sterling Heights, Countryside Estates and Guest Home Estates. Ragenia loved to read Western novels and watch western television shows. She was known to spoil her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David on January 9, 2014; and her brother, Claude Garber. Ragenia is survived by her three children, Jason W. Garber of LaHarpe, Kansas and Steven A. Garber and Hope Watts of Iola, Kansas and Debra K. Garber of Paola, Kansas; 3 grandchildren, Andrew of Iola, Rachel of Fort Scott, Kansas, and Desiree of Cherryvale, Kansas; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers and 1 sister, Mike Garber and Janet of LaHarpe, Kansas, Clarence Garber of Iola, Glen Garber and Tammy of LaHarpe, Kansas, and Dora Kluckner and Larry of Longdale, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
