Richard Mulsow

Richard "Dick" Mulsow, 56, of rural Iola, Kansas, died Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Dick was born August 12, 1953, in Iola, Kansas, the son of Richard C. and Ruth (Trost) Mulsow. He grew up on a farm northwest of Yates Center and graduated from Yates Center High School. He then graduated from Neosho County Community College where he played baseball. He was employed at Haldex in Iola where he had worked for over thirty years. On January 8, 1983, he married Susan K. Sowder and they made their home in Iola until moving to a farm northwest of Iola in the Horseshoe Bend area. Dick enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and was a member of the National Rifle Association. SURVIVORS: Wife: Susan K. VISITATION: 4:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, Kansas FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at the Yates Center United Methodist Church. The Rev. Russell Anderson will officiate.
