Richard Sigg

Richard J. Sigg, 59, of Carlyle, Kansas, died Saturday, April 20, 2013, following an automobile accident south of Girard, Kansas. Richard was born December 19, 1953, in Iola, the son of Gene and Mary (Kleymann) Sigg. He graduated from Iola High School in 1971. On September 9, 1972, Richard married Pat Day and they made their home at Carlyle. He worked for Day Construction and took over the business following the retirement of his father-in-law, Glen Day. Richard enjoyed riding his motorcycle and collecting and restoring old trucks and cars. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Iola. SURVIVORS: His wife of 40 years: Pat Sigg of the home 3 Brothers: Carl Sigg of Mountain View, CA, Raymond Sigg of Martinez, GA and Mike Sigg of San Antonio, TX 2 Sisters: Carol Murphy of Grand Prairie, TX and Cathy Kendziorski of Midland, MI He was preceded in death by his parents. FUNERAL MASS: 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2013, at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola.
