Richard Ray Tanguay, age 66, of Welda, Kansas passed away on Monday January 2, 2023 at his residence.
Rick was born on December 18, 1956 at Fort Riley, Kansas. He was the fourth of six children born to Ray "Tang" and Rosita Tanguay. Rick graduated from Junction City High School in 1974, and then from Salina Vo-Tech school in 1976. He worked as a service manager at K-Mart, Carmax, and U-Haul. In 2017, he moved to Welda from Southaven, Mississippi.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Howard Tanguay and Rosita Delector Tanguay, and his sister Rose Tanguay.
He is survived by his wife, Rosena Norris Tanguay of Palos Heights, Illinois; his three children, Angela Tanguay of Las Vegas, Nevada, Steven and Jennifer Tanguay of Agency, Missouri, and Danielle Tanguay Houghtby of Jacksonville, Florida; seven grandchildren, Jordan Mabry of Las Vegas, Nevada, Aden, Jessica, Jason, Avery, Alex and Aaron Tanguay of Agency, Missouri; four siblings Carl A. Tanguay of Junction City, Kansas, Nancy Maston of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kathy Tanguay of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Janet Tanguay Crabtree of Colony, Kansas.
At the request of Rick his family is planning to honor his wishes for a Viking burial for Rick and his beloved dog, Remi, following cremation and when the weather is warmer. Condolences to the family may be left at
