Rita Joyce Beal, age 81, of Iola, Kansas, passed away October 25, 2023, at Medicalodges, Iola, Kansas. Joyce was born October 15, 1942, in Weslaco, Texas, to Benjamin Bennett and Josephine (Pinnell) Bennett.
Joyce was a homemaker. She and Raymond Harry Beal were married December 21, 1985, in Iola, Kansas.
Joyce enjoyed her yard decorations, sitting in the yard, and taking drives. She liked to have her kids and grandkids visit.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; son, Michael Wade Nichols; and sister, Billie Jo Ivey.
Joyce is survived by two sons, Brian Shawn (Sandy) Nichols, Hartman, Arkansas, Chris (friend, Sherry Clary) Nichols, Wichita, Kansas; two step-children, Rebecca (Alan) Nettles, Carney, Oklahoma, Scott Beal, Colony, Kansas; grandchildren, Derek Nichols, Montana Hartzell, Melissa (Colt) Richmond, Cody Beal, Makayla and Calleigh Beal, Bailey (Matt) Wintermote, Ainslee Nichols; seven great-grandchildren; close friends, Mary and Bob Scovill; one brother, Steve (Maxine) Pinnell; three sisters, Pat Preset, Connie (Leon) Walker, Marsha Ivey; and other family and friends.
A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to Gentiva Hospice, and can be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
