Robert Henderson

Robert “Bob” Lee Henderson, age 77, of Moran, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at his home. Bob was born on December 8, 1941, in Glencoe, Oklahoma, to Martin and Juanita (Hesser) Henderson.

Bob graduated from Moran High School in 1959. On August 1, 1963, in Moran, Kansas, Bob married Malinda Hockett and this union was blessed with three children. Bob worked for the Moran Co Op until it closed. He then started A&B Feed Store in Moran, Kansas. He also raised cattle for many years.

Bob enjoyed going to junk sales and finding bargains and one-of-a-kinds. He then would make welding art out of his finds. Bob was an avid collector of wagon wheels with a collection of hundreds around the farm.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Lula Mae Vogt, Vivian Palovik, and Wanda Maxey.

Bob is survived by his wife of the home; two sons, Bryan Henderson and wife Karen of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; Les Henderson and wife Steffany of Moran, Kansas; one daughter, Sheila Nelson and husband Brian of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; eleven grandkids; one brother, Martin Henderson and wife Mary; two sisters, Joice Ashley and husband Bill; and Sue Beaman.

Family will greet friends from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola. A private burial will take place in the Bronson Cemetery.
