Robert D. "Bob" Hodges, 76, of rural Buffalo, Kansas, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at his home. Bob was born November 17, 1936, in Jefferson County, Colorado, the son of Elmo and Opal (Bolijack) Hodges. He grew up in Colorado and graduated from Arvada High School. He was a sergeant in the United States Marines. He worked as a foreman for Coors and then as a supervisor for Colorado Steel. Bob married Gladys J. Hollingsworth March 25, 1972, in Denver. They moved to this area 14 years ago from Wheatridge, Colorado. He has worked for the A&W Coop and then Nu-Wa in Chanute before he retired. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, watching football and spending time in his shop. SURVIVORS: His wife of 40 years: Gladys Hodges of the home 4 Children: Jane Jennings & husband Greg of Johnday, OR, Gladys Clark & husband Skyler of Iola, KS, Erwin McCulloch & wife Janelle of Effingham, IL and Ed Hodges & wife Misty of Madisonville, KY 4 Siblings: Larry, Walt, Fred and Viola 14 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by a grandson, Skyler Leroy Clark, Jr. and two brothers, Richard and Frank. Cremation has taken place.
