Robert Dale Hunsperger

Robert Dale Hunsperger, age 72, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Richmond Healthcare in Richmond, Kansas. Robert was born on April 28, 1938, at Osawatomie, Kansas, the son of Orville and Ethel (Hastings) Hunsperger. He grew up in the Osawatomie area, graduating from Osawatomie High School. He was united in marriage to Virginia (Geiger) Robertson in May of 2006 at Afton, Oklahoma. Robert worked as a truck driver for nearly 50 years, traveling all over the country. He also worked for Scott Fagg at Yesterday's Café, Garnett. Robert enjoyed coon hunting with his father and brother Gene when he was younger. He loved his dogs and visiting with friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Owen Hunsperger and Gene Hunsperger. Robert is survived by his son Robert Dale Hunsperger of Iola, Kansas; three daughters, Brenda Sue Robertson of Joplin, Missouri; Donna Marie Hall of Uniontown, Kansas; Diana Taylor and husband John of Udall, Kansas; one brother, Jim Hunsperger and wife Ruby; sister Orvella Badders and husband Gerald, all of Osawatomie; and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Spring Hill, Kansas. Family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to help defray funeral expenses to Bob Hunsperger Fund.
