Robert A. Monroe, 52, of Iola, Kansas, died Friday, August 14, 2009, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, Kansas. He was born January 12, 1957 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Robert A. and Amelia (Heins) Monroe, Jr. He grew up in New York and had lived in Colony, Kansas, before moving to Iola. He worked as a sheet-rocker most of his life. On July 27, 2009, Robert married Penny L. Cooper. SURVIVORS: His wife: Penny of the home 1 Son, R.J. Monroe, of Iola 2 Daughters of New York 3 Brothers: Frankie of Maryland, Freddie of California and Keith of New York 3 Sisters: Marlyn of Hawaii and Diana and Kathy both of New York 21 Nieces and Nephews He was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria. Cremation has taken place and private memorial services will be held at a later date. MEMORIALS: Suggested to the Robert A.
