Robert Peterson

Robert A. "Bob" Peterson, Sr., 59, of Iola, Kansas, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at the Allen County Regional Hospital. Bob was born December 3, 1954, in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of Clifford and Rita (Gravatt) Peterson. He grew up in Kincaid, served in the U.S. Marines and graduated from Allen County Community College. Bob married Sarha Ann Ellis in 1978 and they made their home in Iola. They were later divorced. He had worked for Young's Welding, Nelson Quarries and Russell Stover Candies. SURVIVORS: 3 Sons: Robert A. Peterson, Jr., Clifford Peterson and Derick Peterson all of Iola 1 Daughter: June E. Pergeson of Colony His Mother: Rita Peterson of Redfield, KS 3 Step-Brothers: Spencer Newman of LaHarpe, Terry Newman of Yates Center, and John Newman of Baldwin City 1 Step-Sister: Debra Newman of Redfield 15 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild He was preceded in death by his daughter Sarah Ann Mueller, his father Clifford Peterson and step-sister Lucy King.
