Robert Henry Roush, 64, of Emporia died on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Bob was born on December 30, 1953 in Colony, Kansas the son of Henry Oliver and Arlene Culler Roush.
Surviving family members include: mother, Arlene Allen of Emporia, Kansas; sisters, Shirley Marsh, and Sandy (Ray) Hines both of Emporia, and Mary Ann (Ron) Cunningham of Tulsa; nephews, Brian (Lori) Leith , Tim (Wendy) Hines; nieces, Sheri Siebert, Deanne (Tobey) Kelly, Leigh Ann (Brian) Errico, and Debbie (Craig) Hicks; great-nieces and nephews, Hunter, Reece, Kinsley, Brecken Hines, Max and Jack Kelly, Colton and Calli Siebert, Lily Hicks, Josh and Rylee Errico, Cassie Leith.
Bob attended and graduated from Emporia High School; he then attended Kansas State Teachers College. Bob worked at Fanestil Meats, John North Ford as a car salesman, Dolly Madison, Jasco, and also a few years at Jostens Publishing Company in Topeka. Bob had a great passion for all sports, especially baseball, basketball, track, football, bowling, and golf. He enjoyed playing most of these games while growing up, watching them on TV, and watching his great-nephews and nieces play.
He found many lifelong friends and genuine members of his extended family who brought him much joy. Family and friends have been blessed to know Bob and to have so many amazing memories that will last several life times.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Colony Cemetery in Colony, Kansas.
