Robert H. (Bob) Smith

Robert Howard (Bob) Smith, age 68, of Iola, Kansas, passed away June 25, 2022, at Richmond Healthcare & Rehab, Richmond, Kansas. Bob was born October 31, 1953, in Iola, Kansas, to Ralph E. Smith and Nadine (Fogleman) Smith.

Bob graduated in 1973 from Iola High School. He furthered his education by attending vo-tech. Bob worked as a welder, brick layer, and numerous other jobs.

Bob and Adelle Gutierrez were married April 24, 1979, in Miami, Oklahoma.

Bob enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and the Kansas Jayhawks. He liked to fish and deer hunt. He helped his dad farm and with auctions.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph E. and Nadine Smith; and step-mother, Maxine B. Smith.

Bob is survived by his wife, Adelle, of the home; children, Lisa Smith, Iola, Kansas, Robert Smith, Pittsburg, Kansas, Megen Smith, Iola, Kansas, Samantha Smith, Iola, Kansas; sister, Jean Shaffer, Wichita, Kansas; step-sister, Tyra O'Rourke, Naushua, New Hampshire; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service. Inurnment will be at a later date in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
