Robert "Sonny" A. Gregg

September 12, 1929 — March 13, 2020

Robert A. “Sonny” Gregg, age 90, of Princeton, Kansas, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020, at Richmond Healthcare in Richmond, Kansas.

He was born September 12, 1929, in Bush City, Kansas, the son of Emmitt and Eva (Ashburn) Gregg. Sonny attended Garnett High School and began serving in the United States Air Force for four years.

Robert married Naomi Rockers on December 2, 1950. This union was blessed with three children, Gary, Vicki, and Trina.

Sonny moved to Kansas City in 1955, where he worked for 20 years as an engineer. He started a construction company building commercial buildings, then went into commercial real estate.

He loved working outside and spending time at the lake with his family. He especially liked reshaping and constructing their home, and we are sure he already has his next project lined up.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt and Eva Gregg; one son, Gary Gregg; and one daughter, Trina Harrison.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi Gregg, of the home; one daughter, Vicki Evans and husband Phill of Bates City, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Matt, Alina, Darcy Caryl, Katheryn, Trevor, Sage and Kale; 18 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; two sisters, Evelyn Burns of Bel Air, Maryland, Delores Gillespie of College Station, Texas; and one brother, Melvin Gregg and wife Joyce of Leavenworth, Kansas.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 28, 2020, at the St. Boniface Cemetery at Scipio, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert Gregg Memorial Fund and left in care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
