Roberta Jean Borror, age 62, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, Kansas. She was born on November 16, 1949, at Paola, Kansas, the daughter of George Arthur Bright, Sr. and Ester Fern (Latham) Bright. Roberta graduated from Wellsville High School in Wellsville, Kansas. Roberta married Franklin Lee Borror Sr. on August 5, 1967 at Paola, Kansas. This union was blessed with one son. She graduated from Iola Beauty School in Iola, Kansas, and opened her own shop named the Bobbi Shop. She also owned and operated The Geneso Drive-In Restaurant in Geneso, Kansas. She also worked as the owner of a group of carnival concessions for many years. Later, she became a C.N.A. and a C.M.A. at various nursing homes. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Franklin Lee Borror, Jr.; brother, George Arthur Bright, Jr.; and sister, Janeva Janet Kraus. Roberta is survived by two sisters, Jo Ann Fuller of Tacoma, Washington; and Nannette Cox of Choctaw, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces and nephews. Cremation is planned and no services are scheduled.
