Rollin Strickler

Rollin Dean Strickler, 89, of Colony, Kansas, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the Allen County Hospital. Rollin was born July 7, 1923, on a farm southeast of Colony in Anderson County, the son of Claude Leroy and Emma (Hester) Strickler. He graduated from Iola High School. On November 28, 1943, Rollin married Ina F. Yokum. They lived and farmed along with raising cattle in the Colony area until moving into Colony in 1988. She preceded him in death April 25, 2006. SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Eldon Strickler & companion, Cheryl of Colony, KS and Duane Strickler & wife, Gale of Brighton, CO 1 Daughter: Janet Hermreck & husband, Glen of Colony, KS 8 Grandchildren & 23 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by an infant sister Loree, infant brother Vernon and his brother Paul Strickler. FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
