Ronald Hawley

Ronald Lloyd "Ron" Hawley, 64, of rural Iola, Kansas, died Saturday, December 31, 2011, at his home. Ron was born July 14, 1947, in Iola, the son of Lloyd and Dorothy (Stephens) Hawley. He grew up south of Iola. Ron owned and operated Hawley Construction which was mainly involved in the erection of metal buildings. Ron married Frances Ferry and they later divorced. Scott, KS and Joseph Hawley & wife, Amanda of McKinney, TX 1 Daughter: Monica Ewing and significant other, Patrick Long of Iola, KS 1 Brother: Jim Hawley & wife, Donna of Iola, KS 1 Sister: Linda Smith of Humboldt, KS Cousin: Buzz Shrum & wife, Diane of Mapleton, KS 8 Grandchildren: Jud & Josh Hawley, Hunter Michael Hawley, Taylor & Riane Durbin, Gentry & Piper Hawley, and Teygan Ewing He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Hawley. FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Chaplain Lloyd W. Houk will officiate.
