Ronald E. Phipps

Ronald Elton Phipps, age 81, of La Harpe, Kansas, passed away on March 19, 2024.

Ronald was born on May 11, 1942, to William and Violet Mae (Bash) Phipps in Des Moines, Iowa.

Ronald married Rose Ann Owens on March 31, 1962, in Alameda, California. Ronald made a career as a boilermaker while raising three children with Rose Ann, culminating a marriage of nearly 50 years. He was a dedicated member of the Freemasons for 43 years. He enjoyed watching the Royals and fishing with his grandchildren. Ronald was a loving husband, devoted father, and wonderful friend.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and five siblings.

Ronald is survived by his children, Donal (Patricia) Phipps, Rhonda (Carl) Yoder, and Ronald Phipps; grandchildren, Nickolas (Kathleen) Yoder, Ashlee Yoder, Lorree Phipps, Ronald Phipps, Danielle (Blane) Nordyke, Jordan Phipps, and Mikayla Phipps; and great-grandchildren, Remington, Kaden, Brycen, Weston, Jaxson, and Theodore.

A funeral service for Ronald is planned for Friday, March 22, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Iola. The family will greet friends at a visitation prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
